Gravesend and District Historical Society has been established to record and preserve the history and artifacts of the Gravesend and District community.
The aims of our Society is to promote the history of Gravesend and District, in conjunction with the museum.
Gravesend is a small village situated on the North West Slopes of New South Wales. The District is a mixed farming area consisting of Cattle, Sheep with crops of Wheat, Barley and Sorgum being grown. May, 20016 Unfortunately the Museum at Gravesend has had to close, however the collection from the museum has been placed into Warialda Museum. Gravesend and District Historical Society will continue with general and Family History research for Gwydir Shire area.
